Georges Pinard

The great-grandfather, a native of the island of Oleron, started in 1889 to cultivate the first hectare of the vineyard, the beginning of a beautiful story

Jean-Louis Pinard

The grandfather, born in 1922, takes over the vineyard of his father to enlarge it to 5 hectares. He's harvesting by hand with his horse and some tools

The father, born in 1950 and married to Liliane. Together, they enlarge the vineyard to 40 hectares by introducing machinery and a tractor

The son, who took over the estate at age 22, with his wife Isabelle. They watch over their vineyards now over 100 hectares

Maxime Pinard, born in 1975 takes over the vineyard at only 22 years old, after studying viticulture and oenology and while still in business school. It enlarges the estate which today has four stills and a cellar aging cognac.

De son mariage avec Isabelle en 2002, naissent deux filles ; Aurore et Caroline (2003 et 2006). Cette famille développe la mise en bouteille puis la vente directe avec des caves qu’elle ouvre à La Brée les Bains et Saint-Pierre d’Oléron à L’Aubier.

Diversification

of the activities

In 2011, part of the domain is rehabilitated in reception room. Then the family diversifies its offers on the island of Oléron by buying the Hotel Restaurant La Chaudrée** in 2012 and the Hotel Logis de la Plage* in 2018.
